Ideal Candidate:

About the Role:
This position centers on planning, preparing, and cooking nourishing meals and snacks for our children four days a week (lunch, AM snack, and PM snack). You may choose to cook daily or batch-prep meals in advance. Pre-set nutrition guidelines and sample menus are provided, though the ideal candidate will take ownership of the kitchen—balancing the menu, ordering groceries, and bringing in new recipes and flavors that delight and inspire young palates.

Beyond cooking, this is a role rooted in connection. The children are often invited into the kitchen to help, and we’re looking for someone with the patience and joy to guide them—stirring, chopping, tasting, and learning alongside you. In this way, food preparation becomes part of their education and independence.

Additional Opportunities:
There may also be opportunities to prepare occasional meals for adults in our community, though this can be discussed based on interest.

Qualifications:

• Must be at least 18 years of age

• Current enrollment in the Central Background Registry

• Patient, compassionate, and adaptable to the needs of young children

• Commitment to continuous professional growth and learning

Required Trainings:

• Current, hands-on certification in First Aid and Pediatric CPR

• Food Handlers Card
